About this event

Parenting a child with larger-than-life emotions can present with a unique set of challenges, whether those emotions derive from ADHD, a hypersensitive temperament, depression or something else. Join us for an insightful and practical workshop designed to empower your parenting.

In this interactive session, we'll explore:

The Various causes for BIG EMOTIONS: Gain a deeper understanding of causes and learn practical strategies for supporting your child in managing these intense feelings.

Empathy vs. Enabling: Learn to differentiate between empathizing with your child's struggles and inadvertently enabling problematic behaviors. Discover effective ways to support your child's emotional growth without compromising boundaries or expectations.

Practical Tools and Techniques: Equip yourself with actionable tools to help your child develop resilience and emotional regulation skills. We'll discuss strategies for effective coping while remaining supportive and understanding.

Self-Care for Parents: Understand the importance of self-care and how managing your own self-compassion and emotional regulation can positively impact your child's emotional well-being.

When to get help: Appreciate when it’s time to seek out expert help and what are some of the things that an informed consumer of mental health services should look for.

Whether you're looking for new strategies or seeking reassurance, this workshop will provide you with valuable insights and practical tools to help you support your child effectively.
